Abstract

The socially imposed standard of beauty has become more apparent with the development of social media and the consumer market. A person is considered to have an acceptable smile when their teeth are straight, have a pleasing shape, and are becoming progressively whiter. Congenital, hereditary, and acquired dental abnormalities can be categorized. having irregularities that vary in size, quantity, structure and shape. About 8.4% of people have conoid teeth, which are more common in women. They are more common in the permanent dentition and in the upper left hemiarch. On the other hand, there are direct composite resin veneers, which, combined with the use of adhesive systems, aim to restore naturalness, color, shape, function and harmonize the smile, with minimal or no wear to the healthy tooth structure. The present study aimed to report a case of reanatomization in composite resin in which the patient presented a dental anomaly of a conoid tooth. In order to reverse this situation, we opted for the direct composite resin technique to restore the harmony of the patient's smile and self-esteem. It was concluded that the application of the direct technique with composite resins for reanatomization of conoid teeth resulted in a highly satisfactory result, providing the restoration of smile harmony and, therefore, increasing the patient's self-esteem.
